Allergy & Asthma Treatment by Kemp W. Bundy, M.D.

Dr. Kemp Bundy grew up locally in the Capital District.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Hamilton College.  He then obtained his MBA in Healthcare Administration from Union College before obtaining his medical degree at Albany Medical College. He spent 6 years at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine before completing his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.  He was on staff as an attending physician at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he was an instructor in medicine. He is currently the Chief of Allergy/Immunology at Ellis Hospital and is also an adjunct faculty member at Albany Medical College.

While in training, Dr. Bundy performed research on atopic dermatitis, the effect of allergen exposure on pediatric asthma, hypereosinophilic syndrome, macrophage activation syndrome, anaphylaxis in pregnancy and chronic sinusitis in patients with clinical immunodeficiency.  He has published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Clinical Immunology, Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and has presented research at both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) national conferences.

Dr. Bundy enjoys working with patients and other medical colleagues to determine the etiology of a patient’s presenting symptoms and then derive a treatment strategy.  Uniquely positioned not only to identify triggers for symptoms but also to make unifying diagnoses across organ systems, Dr. Bundy is embracing the most recent research and advanced therapies to bring relief to his patients. There has never been a time where there have been so many options for patients. Dr. Bundy is currently seeing new patients 5 years old and above.
