Luke Legakis, M.D. PhD

Dr. Luke Legakis grew up in New York and earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He went on to complete both his medical and graduate degrees at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he published research on medication side effects and immune-related neurologic conditions. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Allergy & Immunology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, where he discovered his passion for helping patients with allergies and immune system disorders.

Dr. Legakis has published in the areas of asthma, drug allergy, immunodeficiency, and immune dysregulation. He takes a patient-centered approach, providing individualized care for people with allergic rhinitis, asthma, hives (urticaria), and immunodeficiency.

He is a member of the AOA medical honor society, a recognized immunodeficiency specialist by the Immune Deficiency Foundation, and an active participant in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Clinical Immunology Society. In addition, Dr. Legakis contributes to medical education as volunteer faculty at Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Legakis is currently welcoming new pediatric and adult patients.
